Matthieu Bordenave
is a saxophonist and professor at the conservatory in Innsbruck. With ‘The Blue Land’, he has just released his second highly acclaimed album on ECM. Thomas Stabenow
Double bassist Thomas Stabenow is one of the greats of the German jazz scene. He has played with Johnny Griffin, Lee Konitz and Billy Cobham, among others, recorded over 30 albums on his own label ‘Bassic Sound’ and given concerts with Stan Getz, Eartha Kitt, Chaka Khan and Al Jarreau.
Julian Fau
Drummer Julian Fau is a three-time winner of the ‘Bruno-Rother-Jazz-Wettbewerb’, was a member of the Bundesjazzorchester, won the WDR-Nachwuchs-Jazzpreis with this orchestra, came 2nd in the ‘Neuer Deutscher Jazzpreis’ with the Johannes Ludwig Quartett and 2nd in the ‘Future Sounds’ competition of the Leverkusen Jazz Festival with Ensemble 11.
