Arianna Art Ensemble
The ensemble was founded in 2007 by the lutenist and composer Paolo Rigano and the harpsichordist Cinzia Guarino. It promotes the dissemination of the vocal and instrumental repertoire of the Renaissance and Baroque periods through its own performances on period instruments, the selection of correct historical performance practice and the rediscovery of unpublished manuscripts. The ensemble also promotes the testing and performance of contemporary music with period instruments. The members of the Arianna Art Ensemble also collaborate with various ensembles such as: Il Giardino Armonico, l'Accademia Bizantina, Concerto Italiano, Cappella Gabetta, Zefiro Ensemble, Modo Antiquo, La Chimera, Ensemble Elyma, Studio di Musica Antica Antonio Il Verso, the Baroque orchestra Les Elements and the Ensemble of Ancient Instruments of the Conservatorio Alessandro Scarlatti in Palermo. They have also made critically acclaimed recordings for several labels. The ensemble has won numerous prestigious competitions, including first prize in the “Old Instruments” section of the 7th National Art Prize organized by the Ministry of Higher Art Education in 2010.

To date, the Arianna Arte Ensemble has performed in the most important concert seasons in Italy, at various festivals and at festivals in Europe such as: Ravenna Festival, Valletta Baroque Festival, the Baeza Festival in Spain, Festival Trigonale in Austria, Manacor Festival in Palma de Mallorca, Les incontres baroques in Alsace, the Festival Nuove Settimane Barocche in Brescia and the Festival l'Invenzione e l'armonia in Mantua, for the Amici della Musica in Udine, Unione Musicale in Turin, the Teatro Regio in Parma, the Amici della Musica in Pesaro, the Amici della Musica in L'Aquila and Palermo, the Associazione Musicale Etnea and the Associazione Antonio il Verso Season. The ensemble has collaborated with important artists such as Fabio Biondi, Enrico Onofri, Giovanni Sollima, Giovanni Antonini, Dmitry Sinkovsky, Gemma Bertagnolli, Andrea Inghisciano, Marcello Gatti, Chiara Zanisi, Eugenio Bennato, Tiziano Bagnati. The ensemble participates in the organization of the International Early Music Festival of Gratteri, now in its 18th edition, together with the Palermo-based MusicaMente association, and organizes an Early Music Concert Season in Palermo, now in its 13th edition.

With Giovanni Sollima he recently recorded the sonatas and symphonies of Giovanni Battista Costanzi for the Glossa label. In 2017 the ensemble published the unpublished manuscripts of the sacred works of Antonino Reggio, an 18th-century harpsichordist and composer born in Aci Catena. In 2021 he released the CD Cimbalu d'Amuri, a work inspired by 17th century Sicily, on the Almendra Music label. In 2022 he recorded the CD 'Musiche per arciliuto, chitarra e clavicembalo' (Music for archlute, guitar and harpsichord) for the Tactus record company, which was awarded 5 stars by the magazine Amadeus.
