Info for Mozart: Symphonies Nos. 38, 40 & 41

This album contains three of Mozart's greatest masterpieces, the late Symphonies No.38 (Prague Symphony), No.40 in G minor, and No.41 (Jupiter). The KV 550 Symphony is one of Mozart's best-known works.

In a report on the world premiere on April 8, 1805, in Vienna, it says: "The concert opened with the wonderful symphony in G minor, this immortal work of the great composer, which combines the most magnificent beauty with the greatest grandeur and drama. It is a colossal picture, but from the most beautiful conditions, which inspires awe and love at the same time. Robert Schumann speaks of "Greek floating grace". Mozart composed the symphony in D major KV 504 in 1786. The work is nicknamed "Prague Symphony".

She only has three movements, but Alfred Einstein believes that the minuet is missing because "everything has already been said" in the existing movements.

The symphony in C major, KV 551, with the final fugue, was composed in Vienna in the summer of 1788. It is Mozart's last symphony. Her epithet Jupiter Symphony first appeared in the early 19th century.

How pure and clear are all the pictures in it! Each has nothing more and nothing less than it is supposed to have by nature. Here Mozart is the master of the musical world and worlds, creator of absolute beauty, a symbol of uniformity and perfection.

The listener can only marvel at the beautiful lightness with which this immensely increased life energy penetrates him.

These are new recordings in HD audio, different from the album already available on the JPK Musik label, masterfully conducted by Volker Hartung with his brilliantly sounding Cologne New Philharmonic orchestra.
