Info for VOLUM

Knut Kristiansen is finally releasing an album of his own material from a rich career that stretches from the 1960s to the present day. The disc is called ‘VOLUM’ and will be released on the renowned Jazzland label. He is joined by Magne Thormodsæter on double bass, Sigurd Steinkopf on drums and Aksel Røed on saxophone. What they all have in common is that Knut was an important mentor to them as young musicians. There are many in Bergen who have that in common. The band spans three generations, but their music is timeless.
