MESHUGGAH
Mavericks. Pioneers. Unique. Unchanging. Meshuggah are one of the most inventive and creative metal bands of the last 30 years. Formed in 1987 in Umeå, Sweden, they have built a loyal following. The early incarnation of the band defined their sound by disregarding the rules of modern metal, distorting the essence of bay area thrash for their own purposes and blending it with a myriad of seemingly disparate influences to create their very own concoction. Now the Swedish icons have announced five concerts in Germany as part of their European tour. In March, they will be bringing their experimental metal to Wiesbaden, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and Cologne. They will be supported by Swedish melodic death metallers The Halo Effect and Bremen sludge metal duo Mantar.
In 2022, the exceptional musicians released their ninth and most fearless studio album to date, Immutable. Full of surprises and yet instantly recognisable as the work of metal's most idiosyncratic force, Immutable reinvented the Meshuggah sound. On 10 November, to mark the 25th anniversary of their landmark album Chaosphere, a remastered reissue will be released as an anniversary edition.
