With this new album, Jef Neve and his band unleash their own work as well as well-known and lesser-known songs; from Damien Rice to Marvin Gaye and Paul Simon.

This is performed live in a fantastic way, with the incomparable singers "Mo" (Monique Harcum, USA/BE) and Sam Merrick (UK), the warmest voices you've heard in ages. Add to that a strong rhythm section and Jef's musical brother, Teus Nobel on trumpet, and let that gang be driven by the man whose fire and passion bursts from the piano, and you will soon understand what is meant by That Old Feeling.

Jef Neve belongs to the top circle of Belgian musicians. So far, he has showcased his skills on various instrumental albums, from soundtracks to symphonies, and several solo piano albums. With "That Old Feeling," Jef ventures into the vocal jazz genre. Surrounded by a host of guest vocalists, he releases his first album where music and lyrics complement each other.

From jazz standards to lesser-known pop gems, all of them received a new arrangement. For this album, Jef collaborated with singers from various backgrounds, coming from different continents, ranging from internationally renowned jazz singers like Madeleine Peyroux, Trijntje Oosterhuis, and Monique Harcum to hit phenomena like Sam Sparro, Dutch rappers like Typhoon, and emerging talents like Sam Merick and Johnny Manuel.

Jef has succeeded in weaving this album into a cohesive whole and will surprise friends and foes alike with innovative arrangements and broadly accessible songs. This album transcends the jazz genre and will touch a wide audience.

Jef Neve
Born in 1977 and classically trained at Leuven's Lemmensinstituut, the Flemish pianist has showcased his skills in everything from orchestras to funk-pop bands, but achieved his big breakthrough when he teamed up with bassist and drummer to form the Jef Neve Trio. Touring worldwide for more than 15 year now, Jef wrote 15 albums, more than 10 soundtracks for films, 2 classical piano concerti, chamber music, etc. Performing as solo pianist, with his band, as a soloist with classical orchestra's, as a conductor of his own orchestra,... He worked together with a whole list of musicians (ao. , , , , , , , ) and his newest album is "That Old Feeling", an album where he invited 8 fantastic vocalists to sing a song on this album: , , , , @Johnny Manuel, @Monique Harcum, @Sam Merrick and @Typhoon. For the live tour, he will ad his rhythm section of and @Jens Bouttery and horns by Teus Nobel, Andy Dhondt and Pieter Kindt, while and @Sam Merrick will do the vocals. Jef wrote 3 piano books "Start", "2" and "Play" accompanied with his solo album . In 2023, he launched 2 new books, @Reflections in Black and White.
