Info for Silo Park

Harper Finn is finally releasing his debut album, ‘Silo Park’.

The album is a journey through change, isolation, and discovery, set against the dual backdrops of his homes in New Zealand and New York, recorded in the Woodstock region upstate.

He moved to the US in 2022, which was sparked by a desire for a change of scenery, Finn saying he felt like he was plateauing in the years since being named Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2021.

“I needed to have another experience, a sort of substantial experience to write about.”

“Three months there is a year’s worth of activity,” he told Hosking.

“So those three years I’ve spent there, I felt like I’ve been there for close to a decade.”

Produced by acclaimed US musician Sam Evian (Big Thief, Cass McCombs), Silo Park was recorded on 16-track tape in the storied Woodstock region of upstate New York. The album is a deeply personal and cinematic body of work, a coming-of-age journey through change, isolation, and self-discovery set against the backdrop of Harper’s time spent in New York.

From the introspective opening track “Man Or Machine” to the raw emotional punch of “Broken Glass” and the soaring optimism of “Doves”, the album captures the full spectrum of Harper’s evolution as both a person and an artist. With its blend of organic instrumentation, vivid lyricism, and sonic experimentation, Silo Park marks a true arrival.

With a clear intention to carve out success both internationally and at home, Harper’s global momentum continues to rise. His current single ‘Love and Loneliness’ has clocked over 400K streams and attracted 150K monthly listeners – the majority from outside New Zealand – underscoring his growing presence on the world stage. Locally,Harper Finn has already made his mark with the Gold-certified single “Dance Away These Days,” his acclaimed EP Newcomer, and as the touring pianist for Balu Brigada, joining them on the US, Australia/New Zealand, and South American legs of Twenty One Pilots’ massive Clancy World Tour.

Now, with Silo Park, he steps boldly into a new era, one defined by artistic clarity, storytelling, and sonic depth.

Harper Finn
bends the style boundaries of pop, centering his handwritten gems around an infectious kinetic energy and the twists and turns of youth and young adulthood. Live music has always been a large part of Harper’s life.

Working nights at a local venue in Auckland’s downtown, he was exposed to the powerful connection between music and youth culture, watching bands like post-punk game changers IDLES and pop megastar Billie Eilish perform to passionate, sweaty crowds of fans. Most fittingly perhaps, was that his first solo show took place on that very stage.

This album contains no booklet.
