With Les Cygnes (The Swans) and the Symphonie de la forêt (Forest Symphony), Rita Strohl sought a form of communion with nature, a decisive turning point towards a musical style that became increasingly symbolist and spiritual, which subsequently led her to compose grand lyrical and mystical works such as Yajnavalkya.

Marie Perbost
Trained at the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris.

Marie Perbost trained at the Maîtrise de Radio-France, then at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris. She then joined the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris, the Académie du Festival d'Aix-en-Provence and the Young Singers Project at the Salzburg Festival.

She has won numerous awards, and was named Révélation lyrique de l'ADAMI in 2016 and Révélation Artiste lyrique des Victoires de la Musique in 2020.

Her roles include Blanche de La Force (Dialogues des carmélites), Despina (Così fan tutte), Elisetta (Cimarosa's Le Mariage secret), the Young Woman (Boesmans' Reigen), Pamina (The Magic Flute), Marzelline (Fidelio), Tullia (Galuppi's Le Monde à l'envers), Lucine (Roussel's Le Testament de tante Caroline), the Countess (Richard, Lionheart), the title role in Durón's Coronis, Folie (Platée), Musetta (La Bohème), Gloire, Phénice et Mélisse (Armide), Almaïde (La Caravane du Caire), Eurydice (Orphée aux Enfers) and Ilia (Idomeneo), in institutions such as Opéra de Tours, Opéra de Dijon, Opéra Royal de Versailles, Opéra Comique, Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse and Opéra de Lausanne.

Marie Perbost also performs in concerts and recitals, and collaborates as soloist with the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, Le Concert Spirituel (Hervé Niquet), Les Musiciens du Louvre (Marc Minkowski), Le Concert d'Astrée (Emmanuelle Haïm), Le Poème Harmonique (Vincent Dumestre).

Her engagements for the 2024-2025 season include Mozart's Requiem in Versailles, Eurydice (Orphée aux Enfers) in Tours and Toulouse, Venus (Dardanus) in Bucharest and Radio-France. She receives grants from the Fondation L'Or du Rhin (Fondation de France), the Meyer Foundation and the Kriegelstein Foundation.

Lucile Richardot
is renowned for the exceptional quality and timbre of her voice and sings a wide ranging repertoire. She has performed with ensembles such as Les Solistes XXI, Il Seminario Musicale, Correspondances, Pygmalion, Le Poème Harmonique, Pulcinella/Ophélie Gaillard, Les Arts Florissants, at Opéra de Rouen and Opéra Comique, and as a soloist with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Tafelmusik, The Monteverdi Choir & Orchestra under Sir John Eliot Gardiner, with whom she made her debut at Carnegie Hall and Teatro alla Scala. She has sung roles in Yvonne, Princesse de Bourgogne, Arsilda, Rinaldo, Dido and Aeneas, Semele, Pelléas & Mélisande, Artaserse, Giulio Cesare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Les Troyens, Cassandre, Circé, David et Jonathas and Cupid and Death. She released for harmonia mundi her first solo album in 2019, Perpetual Night to great critical acclaim, followed by Berio To Sing with Les Cris de Paris (Geoffroy Jourdain).

Case Scaglione
is currently in his sixth season as Music Director of Orchestre National d’Île de France. He has previously served as Associate Conductor with the New York Philharmonic and as Music Director of the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra of Los Angeles. Case was the driving force behind the artistic growth and diversification of the organisation, founding their educational outreach initiative ‘360° Music’.

Whilst working with Orchestre National d’Île de France, Case has explored a plethora of repertoire including music by Strauss, Wagner, Mahler, Dvořák, Béla Bartók, Beethoven, Ravel, Sibelius, Britten, and Anna Clyne. In the 23/24 season, Case’s tenure as Music Director celebrated the orchestra’s 50th birthday.

Case will begin the 24/25 season with Orchestre National d’Île de France by recording Berio’s Folk Songs with renowned Czech folk singer Iva Bittová, which will be released and toured in 26/27. Additional season highlights with the orchestra include a re-premiere of Rhita Strohl’s Symphonie Forêt followed by a tour featuring Steven Isserlis performing Dvořák, and, for the first time in the orchestra’s history, a performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 7. To close the season, Case will reunite with the Chœur de Radio France to present Schubert’s Mass in A-flat major.

Most recently, Case completed a six-year tenure at Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn. During his time with the orchestra, Case appeared regularly at Stuttgart’s Liederhalle, Kloster Schöntal, Ludwigsburg, Queen Elisabeth Hall in Antwerp, Munich’s Prinzregententheater, and Forum am Schlosspark in Ludwigsburg. Composers of classical and early Romantic periods, as well as 20th Century and contemporary ones, featured prominently throughout Case’s 2022/23 season with the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn.

Recent guest conducting highlights included appearances in the United Kingdom at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra; Lighthouse, Poole with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra; and an Irish debut with the RTE Symphony Orchestra.

Recent European guest conducting highlights include debut appearances in Stockholm with the Swedish Radio Symphony; Hamburg with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra; Valladolid with Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra; and at Madrid’s Teatro Monumental with RTVE Symphony Orchestra. His Polish debut was with the Szczecin Philharmonic; his Prague debut with the Prague Symphony Orchestra; and his Danish debut with the Aalborg Symphony. Debut highlights of the 24/25 season are collaborations with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, Komische Oper Berlin, and Gävle Symphony Orchestra. Recently, Case also made a highly acclaimed debut at the Opéra National de Paris in a production of Elektra by Richard Strauss.

In the United States, Case recently collaborated with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, leading to an instant re-invitation for the 24/25 season, and with the Utah and San Diego Symphony Orchestras. He also returned to the Phoenix Symphony. In previous seasons, Case successfully collaborated with the New York Philharmonic, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras.

In Asia, Case has led concerts with the China Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the Shanghai and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestras, in addition to regular returns to the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

Case enjoys close relationships with many of the world’s leading soloists including Simone Lamsma, Yeol Eum Son, Federico Colli, Alisa Weilerstein, Yulianna Avdeeva, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, and Behzod Abduraimov. Case has been mentored by some of the most prominent conductors on the world stage today, including Alan Gilbert, Jaap van Zweden, and David Zinman.
