Info for Let Go

Multi-Grammy and Emmy Award-winning artist and producer Robert Glasper releases his new album, Let Go. As one of the foremost recognized jazz musicians in the world, Glasper delivers a 13-track serene listening experience that emerged from fans sharing their different uses for his music. “My whole career, everybody’s been saying my music is meditative,” Glasper shares. “People say they study to my music, they pray to my music, they do yoga to my music, they just zone out. People have wanted me to do this for a long time. I wouldn’t call it the ‘meditation project’ or nothing like that, but it’s something that helps you find your center. It’s just something that quiets the world and allows you to see what’s within.”

With 14 GRAMMY nominations and 5 wins, an Emmy and a Peabody under his belt, Glasper famously aims to be the first to have a PEGOT and he is well on his way. The Houston born composer and producer made history over a decade ago with the release of Black Radio as the first album to debut in the top 10 of 4 different genre charts simultaneously: Hip Hop, R&B, Urban Contemporary, Jazz and Contemporary Jazz, as did the follow-up album Black Radio 2. The ongoing Black Radio brand has become synonymous with Black music culture and has placed Glasper alongside some of music’s most legendary- from early days with J Dilla, Bilal and Yasiin Bey to playing alongside Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Herbie Hancock, Erykah Badu, Snoop Dogg, Jill Scott, Brandy and more. Commended as one of the most respected and talented artists of his time, everything leading up to this win has cemented Glasper’s lasting legacy in music history and beyond.
