The debut album "Figurations" presents music by Béla Bartók, Claude Debussy, Walter Feldmann and Maurice Ravel in a new, chamber music dress.

The quintet BlattWerk was founded in 2016. It is a so-called reed quintet, in which - compared to the classical wind quintet - a saxophone plays instead of the flute and a bass clarinet instead of the horn. The five have selected arrangements of Bela Bartok's Suite Op. 14, Ravel's Ma Mère l'Oye, and Debussy's Suite Bergamasque, and also play 'figurations en mémoire' by Walter Feldmann. In a superb sound recording, BlattWerk achieves immensely vivid and colorful, yet finely balanced, atmospheric interpretations, whether in virtuoso or lyrical passages. - The BlattWerk quintet was founded in 2016. BlattWerk Quintett
EinKlang: The musician and the four musicians, all internationally active, came together in 2016 and founded the quintet BlattWerk. A name with room for interpretation: on the one hand, it stands for the interplay of the five members, for harmony. On the other hand, it underlines the musical energy that emanates from the ensemble.

KlangWelt: BlattWerk is a reed quintet. The five play woodwind instruments, each of which they make sound with a reed. The extremely changeable sound ranges from chamber music intimacy to radiant orchestral power. And the repertoire is broad: it includes original pieces from the last thirty years as well as new arrangements of piano and orchestral works.

Outside of their activities with the BlattWerk-Quintett, the musician and the musicians are regular guests with orchestras such as the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Bern Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Zurich, Basel Sinfonietta, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Klangforum Wien, Ensemble Proton Bern, Ensemble Intercontemporain and Ensemble Musikfabrik.
