Brimming with their trademark blazing guitar riffs and solos, soaring falsetto and immeasurable rock ‘n’ roll extravagance, fans will get the first preview of The Darkness’ newest masterpiece when the first single is unveiled next month.

To celebrate the news of Motorheart the band will be heading out on a full UK tour in November and December this year with support coming from British Lion, the up close and personal side project of legendary Iron Maiden founder and bassist Steve Harris.

With a back catalogue overflowing with sonic gold and a live reputation that most bands can only dream of attaining The Darkness have established themselves as one of the most loved and important British rock bands of our time. Their latest album, 2019’s Easter Is Cancelled, became the band’s fourth Top 10 album in the UK, whilst also topping the Official Charts Top 40 Rock Chart and the iTunes Rock Chart, alongside receiving swathes of critical praise.

meldeten sich 2012 nach sieben Jahren Pause mit dem großartigen Comeback-Album »Hot Cakes« zurück und avancierten umgehend wieder zur bedeutendsten Hardrock-Formation Großbritanniens. Das Album stieg in ihrer Heimat bis auf Platz 4 der Charts und notierte in über einem Dutzend Ländern in den Top 40 – darunter Australien, Irland, Schweden, die Schweiz und auch Deutschland, wo »Hot Cakes« bis auf Platz 16 stieg und damit zu ihrem bislang erfolgreichsten Werk geriet. Im Juni letzten Jahres legte die Band um Bühnen-Derwisch Justin Hawkins mit »Last of Our Kind« den Nachfolger vor, der in fast allen Nationen ähnlich erfolgreich war wie sein Vorgänger. Damit haben sich The Darkness endgültig in den Hardrock-Olymp gespielt.

The Darkness sind aus dem globalen Hardrock-Olymp nicht mehr wegzudenken. Sie touren ebenso fleißig wie in ihren Anfangstagen und verzücken die Rockgemeinde mit unnachahmlich schweißtreibenden Shows. Das im Juni 2015 veröffentlichte, bislang letzte Album geriet in einigen Ländern sogar zu ihrem bislang erfolgreichsten. Kein Wunder, dass die Band mit ihrem neuen Drummer Rufus Tiger Taylor seither wieder die Clubs und Festivals in Schutt und Asche legt.
