Lars Andreas Haug band's exclusive sound is a result of music with playful improvisation and tight jazz compositions. Beautiful, funky, groovy, eccentric, witty, impromptu, pioneering and unique are but a few words that depict Lars Andreas Haug's music.

Norwegian composer, tuba and trumpet player, born in 1975, has studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music (Norges musikkhøgskole). Has collaborated, among others, with Live Maria Roggen, Håvard Lund and Trygve Seim.

Lars Andreas Haug
b. 1975) is a Norwegian jazz musician, composer and tuba player, raised at Frogner in Akershus. He holds a master's degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music and has since been active in a range of jazz constellations, including the trio Tri O'Trang, 1300 Oslo and the ethno-jazz trio Akku. He leads the Lars Andreas Haug Band, known for original compositions described as beautiful, playful and complex. In 2004–06 he received the Norwegian Government Artist Grant and taught at the Academy of Music. He has also constructed his own instrument called the "tubmarine", and has performed widely across Norway and internationally.
