Die japanische Flötistin Eriko Oi, Gewinnerin des Internationalen Wettbewerbs für Alte Musik in Yamanashi (Japan), wird in dieser Produktion von dem Cembalisten Tung-Han Hu begleitet. Sie präsentieren die Weltpremiere einer Aufnahme mit Werken für Flöte und Continuo des italienischen Komponisten Carlo Tessarini, der Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts in Rimini geboren wurde. Tessarini, ein in ganz Europa tätiger Violinenvirtuose und produktiver Komponist, wagte sich – wie viele seiner Zeitgenossen – auch an Kompositionen für Flöte und bereicherte damit das Repertoire dieses Instruments erheblich. Die Darbietung der beiden in diesem Album vorgestellten Sammlungen zeigt, dass Tessarini zweifellos ein profunder Kenner der einzigartigen Eigenschaften der Flöte war und ihr dynamisches und expressives Potenzial voll ausschöpfte.

Eriko Oi
is a Japanese flutist based in Leipzig/ Germany, who plays from historical to modern flute.
She appeared as a soloist with the Gellert Ensemble at the MDR Music Summer, with the Kanagawa Symphony Orchestra and with the Leipziger Lehrer Orchestra at the Gewandhaus. She won several competitions, including the 34th International Competition for Early Music Yamanashi and the 28th Kanagawa Music Competition. She collaborates regularly with the Gaechinger Cantorey, the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, the Gellert Ensemble, the Leipzig Philharmonic and Sinfonia Leipzig. In this context she also took part in numerous CD productions.
She completed her studies on modern flute with Prof. Ayako Takagi at the Tokyo University of the Arts and with Prof. Irmela Boßler at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig. On historical flute she graduated with Anne Freitag at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig and with Lisa Beznosiuk at the Royal Academy of Music London.
Tung-Han Hu
born in Taiwan in 1992, began his musical studies with piano and trombone at the age of eight. Following his passion for early music, he studied historical performance practice and historical keyboard instruments at the Berlin University of the Arts under Prof. Mitzi Meyerson, graduating with distinction. In February 2024, he completed a double degree in harpsichord and fortepiano at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts under the direction of Prof. Christine Schornsheim.
Tung-Han Hu has won several awards in the solo and ensemble categories at world-renowned competitions, including the 10th International Telemann Competition in Magdeburg (2019); the Biagio Marini Competition in Neuburg an der Donau (2020); the Handel Competition in Göttingen (2022); the 23rd International Johann Sebastian Bach Harpsichord Competition in Leipzig (2022); and the German Music Competition in Bonn (2024).
Tung-Han Hu is a sought-after harpsichordist and chamber musician who collaborates with numerous artists worldwide. Since the winter semester of 2022/2023, he has been working as a harpsichord accompanist at the Institute for Early Music at the Berlin University of the Arts.
