It could be three legends recording together for the first time: or three 70 year old musicians just having some fun, you choose.

For some time Hammond Gamble (Streettalk, Hammond Gamble Band), Larry Killip (Larry & The Ladders) and Brent Eccles (Space Waltz, Citizen Band, The Angels) have been sharing music ideas remotely. The result, their first release, STREET CORNERS, a 5 track album of original songs.

It is what it is, with no pretences with a kind of street feel. What shines through, and they can’t help it, is musicianship that can only be attained by years of time playing on concert stages.

Uniquely, what often came first was a 3 or 4 minute drum track recorded on an iPhone before breakfast and emailed to Hammond and Larry to build songs around.

“I never knew if Brent was still up, or up early but he was relentless” - Larry

More often than not, the basic drums track was cut up and re edited to suit.

The careers of these three legendary musicians is broad, comprehensive and hard to imagine anyone who has more collective experience than they do. So why continue do it? Well if you ask them they will probably say, because they want to.

“Having Hammond & Larry playing guitar on this stuff is inspirational to me. I have so much respect for them as vocalists also.” – Brent

These songs have been created in an entirely different way and have all kinds of challenges meaning that things had to be done differently.
