Info zu Drømmene
On his new solo album, Drømmene (The Dreams), Henrik Pultz Melbye explores different places where dreams unfold, what emotions they evoke in us and what they remind us of. While dreams take place during our sleep, we often find ourselves daydreaming but often unconsciously, affecting our emotional state. This album serves as an output for all those intense emotions we experience.
Drømmene incorporates a wide range of genre elements ranging from ambient and cinematic to grandiose, minimalist and sci-fi music. The trance-like and meditative nature makes it a music experience that invites listeners to linger in the sound of emotion.
This album has been years in the making since the first songs were composed in 2020 with inspiration from artists like Brian Eno, Jon Hassel, Harrold Budd, Kate Bush, Jules Reidy and many more.
Henrik Pultz Melbye has been an active player on the Copenhagen jazz and experimental scene for some years now, and has toured most of Europe and Russia and released 7 albums with the successful band SVIN.
With a personal and unique sound on the saxophone he's always trying to break through the borders of genres not being afraid to go new ways.

My name is Henrik and I currently live in Copenhagen, but grew up in Denmark's oldest town Ribe filled with cobblestone streets, right next to amazing nature.
I've been playing music most of my life and have worked professionally as a freelance musician for about 15 years. I've released a ton of my own music and toured most of Europe playing saxophone in different bands.
I've always been interested in the world of design and have often designed posters in Photoshop with very limited knowledge of the software. I've also designed several websites in WordPress and Squarespace, but never really knew anything about design principles.
After a detour as a body therapist, helping people with anxiety, depression, stress through advanced massage techniques and therapy I discovered the world of UX Design and immediately got excited. I got drawn in by the possibility of making products that are useful and helps people in their day-to-day lives. To be able to speak with users, implement their feedback and create beautiful products was just what I wanted to do!
Since then I completed the Google UX Design Professional Certificate and most recently, CareerFoundry's UX Design Program.
Being a good listener and empathizing with people was something I learned while being a body therapist. It comes natural to me, but in order to help people with anxiety, depression and stress you have to be good at asking the right questions to get to the core of the challenge and see where the underlying trauma is. This is something I bring to UX Design, when searching for the core of the user's problem in order to see the solution.
