„Piano Circle Songs“ ist das intimste Album, das ich je gemacht habe. Eine große Inspiration kam von meinen Kindern. Kinder sind Wesen, die, so wie ein Jahr vier Jahreszeiten hat, alle vier Jahreszeiten an einem Tag durchleben und sich eigentlich in Kreisen bewegen. Die Idee des Kreises ist so zum Konzept des Albums geworden. Und wenn man 'Piano Circle Songs' reduzieren würde, würde es die Form einer einzigen unendlichen Melodie ergeben. Im Album geht es darum, diese intimen Melodien so oft und so schön wie möglich dem Zuhörer oder der Zuhörerin zu kommunizieren." (Francesco Tristano)
