Info for Exploring New Boundaries

"Exploring New Boundaries" published by Neuklang, ADA Music (Warner Music Group) and Verlag follows their first EP entitled "Overture" released in 2022, which received considerable acclaim from the public and critics. The recordings were made at Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg, Germany, where they had the honour of being supervised by award-winning sound engineers AdrianVon Ripka and Philipp Heck.

Blewitt was born from the meeting of three extraordinary musicians who decided to unite and share their musical visions with the aim of achieving a synthesis of classical music, jazz and rock. A project that the three musicians implement through compositional research, original pieces and arrangements of standards, seeking to fuse tradition and piano literature with contemporary rhythms, from neo soul to Mediterranean ethnic music, from avant-garde music to traditional jazz.

All their credo is channelled into this new album, a record of original pieces by Proietti, Cherici and De Nisi, with two valuable reinterpretations: 'Footprints' by Wayne Shorter and 'Passion Dance' by McCoy Tyner.

"This is a project that we have always believed in," say the three young Blewitts, "with sacrifice and a lot of hard work. We hope with this album to fully convey our musical idea and identity, based on compositional research and the fusion of languages.

Exploring new boundaries, as the title of the album declares, has been our motto since our first meeting, a journey with a strong human and social value, which aims to go beyond the boundaries of genres and labels, and fortunately, music allows all this, being the only language understood by all."
