Nick Murphy (alias Chet Faker) veröffentlicht sein neues Album "Take In The Roses" über Detail Records und BMG. Das Album, das unter dem Namen Nick Murphy & The Program erscheint, ist sein erstes mit Nick Kinsey (Waxahatchee, Kevin Morby), Jake Falby (Chet Faker, Julie Byrne), Tim Lappin und Tim Mislock. Es wurde von seinem langjährigen Kollaborateur Dave Harrington (Darkside) produziert. Das Album wurde vor der Pandemie auf der legendären Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, TX, geschrieben und aufgenommen. Das Album wurde fast ausschließlich live aufgenommen und hebt sich durch seine Americana-Einflüsse und ausgedehnten Klanglandschaften von Murphys Veröffentlichungen unter seinem eigenen Namen und als Chet Faker ab. Er hat sich entschieden, es jetzt zu veröffentlichen, um einen Kontrast zu dem im Juli erschienenen Chet Faker-Album Hotel Surrender zu schaffen.

Nick Murphy alias Chet Faker
Also known as Chet Faker, Nick Murphy’s alter ego achieved mainstream notoriety in 2011 with a haunting cover of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity”. The Australian singer-songwriter went on to release his platinum 2014 album Built On Glass which streamed over a billion times, won seven ARIA Music Awards, and sold out shows across the globe.
The extraordinary, and seemingly overnight success of Chet Faker led to a period of personal introspection and creative evolution in New York. With the Chet Faker persona on pause, Nick Murphy introduced the world to his more experimental sound with “Fear Less”, going on to write and record two albums, an EP, and a number of singles as himself.
Chet Faker reemerged from the shadows with the long-awaited, and well-received album “Low” and recently celebrated 10 years of his highly acclaimed debut 'Built On Glass' with a limited edition vinyl release. This next chapter will see Nick continue to tour globally, and prove to both his fans and himself that he and his alter ego always have, and will continue to coexist.
