Unsere Albumauswahl ist zugleich Hommage und Gedenken. Die Musik von József Sári, der in diesem Jahr seinen 90. Geburtstag gefeiert hätte, und József Soproni (der in diesem Jahr 95 geworden wäre) ist grundverschieden, doch nicht so sehr, dass die beiden Komponisten nicht ähnliche ästhetische Prinzipien und Einflüsse teilen, denen sie bei der Entstehung der meisten ihrer Werke folgten. Dies ist offensichtlich und vor allem dem unvergesslichen (und unvergleichlichen) Zauber Béla Bartóks geschuldet, aber vielleicht auch der Tatsache, dass Soproni und Sári, die derselben Generation angehörten, sich dem Klavier auf eine ähnliche Weise näherten. Das bedeutet jedoch nicht, dass ihrer Musik eine Art von Universalität oder Eklektizismus im besten Sinne des Wortes fehlt und sie nur Spuren „provinzieller“ Einflüsse aufweist – ganz im Gegenteil.
