Erlend is an established artist with his roots in country and music. He was discovered through his participation in the TV success "The Voice" on TV2, where he together with his mentor Matoma won the 2021 season which broke all viewing and voting records. Erlend is known for his deep voice, extensive voice register and his communication skills. Unusually, Erlend has never taken singing lessons, and likes to challenge genre boundaries.

The summer after the victory, he performed at the Diamond League convention in Bislett and carried out his very first tour together with "The Voice" finalists Sofie Fjellvang and Maria Petra.
