Info for Tango Continuo (Works by Astor Piazzolla, Luis Naón and Mathieu Bonilla)
Carl-Emmanuel Fisbach and David Christopher Panzl are two remarkably dynamic young artists. I met them through an impromptu correspondence regarding saxophone, vibraphone and marimba arrangements of the music of my father: Astor Piazzolla. A few months later, I received this recording. What a great surprise! I was instantly delighted by the quality of the arrangements and, above all, by the refined, fresh interpretations. The arresting expressivity and phrasing of these musicians captivate the listener. Without a doubt, this recording plunges us deep into the world of two talented artists to watch.
